Every year, the city of Hoogstraten chooses the sportswoman of the year.

Together with 70 other athletes, Karin receives an elite sport contract from Sport Vlaanderen. In the equestrian sport, only Karin and Manon Claeys (Paralympic athlete) got a contract. This gives them the posibility to focus on their sport.
Karin wants to thank Sport Vlaanderen en Paardensport Vlaanderen for their support.
